The Election
I don't think I've ever felt so far from home as I did last night. I really wanted to be in DC where the action was happening -- talking to friends and changing stations to see who has the best coverage of the election. We were in a hotel room with one TV in the main room so we went to bed before any of the polls closed. We couldn't keep the TV on unless we wanted the kids to stay awake. But I kept waking up wondering through the night....Is the race close? Is there a winner? If so, who is it?
I don't fight hard for either political party, I'd much rather vote for a person. Having said that, there must be a different perspective if you live in the US, because from over here, the continuation of Bush as President doesn't make a lot of sense. But I'm glad we all have the right to vote and I'll accept what the public opinion majority decided.... that Bush was the best person. I just hope the majority is correct.

Round About Midnight after tossing and turning in bed I succumbed and turned on NPR, only to then have to turn on the TV to see what the map looked like. It was shortly after that CBS, and others called Ohio for Bush. This of course insured I'd be up for the rest of night.
Didn't watch a whole lot of coverage, but ABCs seemed to be the most level headed of the lot.
Needless to say, Is the guest room empty?
the brother-in-law who can confirm that poor writing is indeed genetic.
